Quick Weight Loss Tips

In general most diet and weight loss pills do are not likely to provide users with quick weight loss. The so-called fat burning or thermogenic drugs work faster but they are more for athletes and won’t help individuals to lose significant amounts of weight. These thermogenic drugs are particularly popular among bodybuilders.

It is worth mentioning a number of diet pills. These pills should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet or have an effect upon a person’s diet because they are an appetite suppressant. Alli was recently released and has achieved good results for people with a BMI over 30. Leptopril users report varying results, and in 2004 the American Federal Trade Commission charged the manufacturer with making unsubstantiated claims about the product. Some medical studies have shown positive results for obese users of Hydroxycut. Hydroxycut is also helpful in helping users avoid regaining the weight they have lost.

Alternatively people seeking to lose weight could try dieting without the help of pills. The Atkins Diet is a particularly popular example. It would be advisable for users to combine their dieting with regular exercise to achieve the greatest benefit. Unfortunately, this form of weight loss is not a quick solution and requires much discipline.

It is important to mention some of the side effects of diet pills. Many of the Thermogenic pills contain the drug Ephedra, which has been linked to the deaths of two high profile American sportsmen. The FDA has banned supplements containing Ephedra. Alli can cause very uncomfortable side effects such as stomach cramps and diarrhoea unless users maintain a very low fat diet. Leptopril users have reported similar side effects and additionally ringing in the ears. Medical studies have suggested that Hydroxycut may have negative effects upon the liver. Some users say that it makes them feel ‘spaced out’.

Of the weight loss pills discussed here Hydroxycut and Alli appear to be the most effective, although they do not necessarily guarantee quick weight loss. These two drugs are only recommended for use by obese individuals. Like most, if not all, diet pills, Hydroxycut and Alli are not without side effects.
